Durga, based in Bangalore, is a citizen-sector organization, working with the ultimate vision of creating gender equal spaces in India, deterrence of sexual harassment, and ensuring women’s safety.
• Through our flagship Durga Safety Workshops, our team of facilitators equip women and girls across all segments of society to be aware, and prepared to tackle harassment.
• Setting up VOICE Labs – safe spaces – in colleges to equip students as socially-responsible gender-sensitive individuals.
• Facilitating 21-day concrete engagements with women, men, children and communities on gender and gender issues so that we can collectively bring about a change in behavior.
• Anchoring an Active Bystander (in public spaces) Engagement program called DARE – Durgas Are Real heroes Everywhere.
• Initiating Cyber Warriors through our Voice Out program who audit cyber space for inappropriate posts, trolls, and more for a safer and inclusive online space.

NGAGE is largely a self-funded initiative by Durga. As the Forum is meant for the benefit of youngsters across India, we have kept the registration fee as a token sum of Rs.99/- with early bird pricing of Rs.49/- We are also partnering with Institutions to help students join the Forum at no/minimal cost.
All of Durga’s community programs operate with support and donation from Individuals/Organizations who align with our belief of safety and safe spaces for everyone.

Durga’s 6-month paid fellowship is offered to a limited number of 200 candidates across India. This engagement exposes you to immense perspectives and understanding of on the ground work where you learn what you can do to create safer spaces in your city.
